Northridge delivery, in practice

Northridge is one of the easier parts of the Valley to drive and one of the harder ones to reach. The street grid is generous — long straight runs on Reseda, Balboa, Tampa and Zelzah, wide residential blocks off Nordhoff and Plummer, real driveways, visible house numbers. Once a driver is in the neighbourhood the last mile is quick. Getting there is the part that costs time, because Northridge sits at the far end of our service area and there's no fast route from the central Valley after about 4pm.

The apartment density around CSUN changes the job noticeably. The blocks between Nordhoff, Zelzah, Lindley and Plummer are wall-to-wall complexes, many with controlled gates, unnumbered buildings and parking that requires a code. If you're in one of those, send the gate code and the building letter with your address. We are not able to deliver on the CSUN campus itself — meet your driver at a residential address or street-side nearby instead.

North and east of Devonshire the character shifts again toward larger lots, horse properties and the streets running up toward Limekiln Canyon. Those addresses are usually easy, just spread out. A visible house number does most of the work.

On timing: the 118 is the only fast way across the north Valley and it backs up eastbound in the morning and westbound from about 3:30pm. Reseda Blvd slows around Nordhoff at the same hours. Orders before 3pm or after 7:30pm land fastest. Friday and Saturday evenings run 70 to 85 minutes out here, longer than the rest of the Valley, and we'll tell you that when you order rather than after.
